SHEFFIELD PUB CRAWL

SHEFFIELD PUB CRAWL

Sheffield became famous for its steel production in the 19th century, which led to a significant increase in the city's population. Today, it remains one of the largest cities in the UK, ranking as the fourth largest.

Today, it is hard to imagine that Sheffield was once filled with dirty factories, thanks to the city's abundance of green spaces. In fact, Sheffield has more trees per resident than any other city in Europe. Additionally, a third of the city lies within the Peak District National Park.

As in the rest of England, football plays a major role in Sheffield. The city is home to two major football clubs: Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United. When these teams face each other in the 'Steel City Derby,' the city is split into two rival camps. There is also a third club, Sheffield F.C., which competes in the seventh division. What makes this club special? It is the oldest football club in the world, founded in 1857.

Now that you have read enough interesting facts about the city it is time to explore the pubs. We hope that you enjoy the FREE pub crawl and let us know what you think via our social media channels.
