MALTA - SAN ĠILJAN PUB CRAWL

MALTA - SAN ĠILJAN PUB CRAWL

This pub crawl is a bit outside the usual locations for which we typically create pub crawls. However, one of our most loyal and enthusiastic supporters requested a pub crawl in San Ġiljan, Malta, as he will be going on holiday there. If you also have a request for a city that is not featured yet on our website, do let us know. We will do our best to create a custom pub crawl for you. You can submit your request on our request page.

There are many late-night clubs and bars in this city, but we will aim to select the pubs and bars that are more in line with the style of venues featured on our website. Perhaps we will offer a new perspective on San Ġiljan and the kind of drinking experience the city has to offer. Bear with us as we embark on this adventure.

We hope that you enjoy the pub crawl and let us know what you think via our social media channels.

THE PUBS

Juuls

The first bar of the pub crawl is Juuls. Juuls is located in a characteristic alley, and the vibrant colours on the walls make the terrace a lovely spot to sit and begin the evening. With its beautiful décor, it is the perfect place to enjoy a quieter drink as you prepare for the rest of the pub crawl. If the terrace is full, there are other bars along the same street that also have outdoor seating, so there will be plenty of space to sit.

The Thirsty Barber

The Thirsty Barber has a truly unique ambiance, with the entire bar themed around the 1920s Prohibition era. Fortunately, the rules of that time no longer apply today! There are many types of drinks to choose from, and the bar specialises in cocktails. On most nights, there is also live music — so be sure to drop by.

The Long Hall Irish Pub

Just like in the famous ‘Irish Pub Song’ by The High Kings, wherever you go around the world, you will find an Irish pub, and San Giljan is no exception. The pub does it best to create an authentic Irish atmosphere and it might even feel like home to Irish visitors even though the Guinness might not be as good as back home.

Hugo's Pub

Hugo’s Pub is a modernly designed bar that still retains plenty of charm. It features a sleek black-and-white colour palette and a large central bar. Popular among sports fans, the pub has several TVs where guests can watch a wide range of sporting events. The pub is also quite spacious and includes an outdoor terrace for those who prefer to sit outside.

Bar Native

The final destination of the pub crawl is Bar Native — one of the most well-known bars in San Ġiljan, and arguably in all of Malta. It is hard to miss, thanks to the large neon sign outside featuring a Native American figure. The bar offers both an outdoor terrace and ample indoor seating. One of its biggest attractions is the daily happy hour, which runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
