GALWAY PUB CRAWL

GALWAY PUB CRAWL

Galway is one of the major cities in Ireland and is located in the west. The city is known for the stunning natural beauty that surrounds it, with the rugged beauty of Connemara to the north and the stunning coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way to the south. Galway itself is characterized by narrow streets, colourful shops, and an incredible number of great pubs. Galway is most famous for the Galway Races, a week-long annual horse racing festival that takes place during the summer and has been held for over 150 years. Even a song has been written about it. THE PUBS

TIGH NEACHTAIN

This pub is easily recognizable due to its striking exterior, which uses a combination of yellow and blue colours to catch your attention. Inside the bar, you will find a cosy fireplace and plenty of posters on the walls. While it does not have the typical interior you would expect from an Irish pub, this unique feature sets it apart and makes it even more special.

THE KINGS HEAD

The King's Head is a pub steeped in history, having been the go-to spot for a pint for over 800 years. With live music every night of the week and three floors of bar space, there is something for everyone here. In addition to its many years of success, the pub has also created its own beer: the King's Head Blood Red Ale.

TIGH CHÓILÍ

The native language of Ireland still holds a significant presence in the west, as evidenced by the Gaelic names of many pubs. In Galway, tradition is highly valued, and this pub is no exception. That is why they host 14 traditional music sessions each week, staying true to Irish customs and heritage.

TAAFFES BAR

Taaffes stands out from other bars due to its unique interior design. The floor boasts a bright colour, while the furniture is made of dark wood, creating a pleasing contrast. Above, a giant painting of the coat of arms of Galway adorns the ceiling, adding to the bar's character. Moreover, the walls are adorned with many pictures, providing a personal touch to the overall ambiance of the place.

O’CONNELL'S BAR

O'Connell's Bar is among the most renowned pubs in Galway, offering both a beer garden and an extensive whiskey collection. On weekends, DJs spin tunes that provide a contrast to the traditional Irish music typically heard in the city's pubs. Moreover, the bar screens a wide variety of sports, making it an ideal spot to catch a game while enjoying a few drinks. All in all, it is a great place to spend some time with friends.

SKEFFINGTON ARMS HOTEL

The Skeffington Arms Hotel is a great place to conclude your pub crawl, as it stays open late into the night. Featuring multiple rooms with varying music genres and live sports screenings, it caters to both those looking to party all night and those seeking a more relaxed atmosphere. It is an excellent spot to enjoy a few quiet drinks or dance the night away.
