LA ROCHE-EN-ARDENNE PUB CRAWL

LA ROCHE-EN-ARDENNE PUB CRAWL

This pub crawl does not take place in one of the biggest or most well-known cities in the world. Instead, it is set in a small town hidden among the green hills and mountains of the Ardennes. The town has a mystical atmosphere and can feel as though you have stepped into a fairy tale or a medieval novel. At its heart stands an ancient castle perched on a hill.

Once a year, the town hosts a medieval festival, during which it truly transforms into a medieval setting, complete with a wide range of activities and entertainment. Of course, all those knights need somewhere to drink, and fortunately the town is also home to several excellent pubs. During this pub crawl, we will explore them.

We hope that you enjoy the pub crawl and let us know what you think via our social media channels.

THE PUBS

Taverne A L'amite

On the corner of the street, you will find a white-painted building, with beer signs that lure you inside. The pub does not have many oddities, but it is classy and styled as though you have stepped into someone’s home. This creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere and helps you feel at ease as you begin the pub crawl.

Le Zenith

This bar is quite small, which gives it a cosy atmosphere, and as you would expect from a Belgian pub, it offers a wide selection of beers to choose from. This quiet and relaxed bar is popular with both locals and tourists alike.

La Femand Perdu

This pub holds a special place in our hearts, as we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. If you enjoy craft beer, this is the place to be, as the owner is a true beer expert and can tell you everything there is to know. We enjoyed a full tasting experience, during which he shared the history of every beer and brewery. All in all, it is a must-visit when you are in La Roche.

St. James's Gate

And what would a tourist town be without its own Irish pub? This is where we end the pub crawl. St James’s Gate, of course, refers to the location of the Guinness Storehouse. The pub is furnished in true Irish style, and here you can enjoy the famous brew from St James’s Gate itself.
