ANTWERP PUB CRAWL PT. 2

Antwerp is a major harbour city in the northern part of Belgium, situated in the region of Flanders. Belgium, and Flanders in particular, are renowned for their excellent craft beers, making Antwerp an ideal place to try some of these brews. The city boasts numerous small and cosy pubs that are a must-visit when you are in town. In addition to the pubs, Antwerp features beautiful architecture that transports you to times long gone. The central station is often regarded as one of the most stunning train stations in the world, and the 'Grote Markt' serves as the central square of the city, where you can find some of Antwerp's most exquisite buildings.

All in all, Antwerp is a city with a lot to offer, and we hope that you enjoy the FREE pub crawl and let us know what you think via our social media channels.

THE PUBS

De Rui

De Rui is a pool café with a variety of tables, and on certain evenings, it hosts live music events. The name of the pub refers to the Ruien, historic waterways that once flowed through the city during medieval times. Although these canals have long lost their original function due to technological progress, they can still be visited today. That said, we would much rather enjoy a pint at the Rui bar.

Het Oud Arsenaal

The Oud Arsenaal is a small and cozy pub. Its exterior appears unchanged over the years, giving the pub a unique character. Inside, the walls are covered with numerous decorations, including a bicycle hanging on one of them. The floor pattern is also quite unusual and adds to the pub’s charm.

De Varkenspoot

This pub has a darker exterior, but inside there are brighter colours and plenty of light wood is used. There are also many mirrors on the walls, which create a unique dynamic. The greatest feature of the pub is that it offers a wide variety of Belgian beers, just like the other pubs on this pub crawl.

De Duifkens

The Duifkens is another pub steeped in history. The owners have tried to preserve it as it was many years ago. Stepping inside feels like entering your grandparents’ house. The pub also has a large terrace outside where you can enjoy your drinks in the sun.

In den Boer van Tienen

In den Boer van Tienen is an old-fashioned Belgian pub with an odd name, but this makes it well known among the locals of Antwerp. The pub features red leather benches and many wooden beams supporting the ceilings. Like other pubs, it has a large terrace on Mechelse Square.
